Meaghan’s Farewell Session | Columbia, SC

Back in June of this year, I met Meaghan Norman at an AKAversary portrait session with her sorority sisters at the University of South Carolina Horseshoe. At the end of the portrait session, I handed out my business card to each of the ladies. Meaghan told me she will be in touch with me for some photos in the near future. Well as promised she reached out to me for some portraits since she was relocating from Columbia for a new employment opportunity. Meaghan stated she wanted some ‘sendoff photos’ of some familiar places she has been to while she worked in Columbia. We decided to shoot at three of her familiar locations: South Carolina State House, Downtown Main Street and outside of the WIS-TV office.

With all her experience in front of a video camera, it made it very easy for her to succeed in front of my camera. She is in the field of producing and directing but she advised me that I have the full creative reign of the session. Being in that field can be hard not to step in and take control. One thing I enjoyed about the session was she let me know what she wanted and didn’t want which helped make our session a great one.

We had a bunch of fun in this session and can’t wait to work with her once again. I would like to wish her much success in her new position.
